Your three-stage path to the auction block!

NDAA has partnered with North Dakota FFA to build a lasting pathway into the auction industry — from a first chant to a state championship. Ag teachers: share this with your students!

STAGE 1: FALL BID-CALLING CAMP - Wednesday, September 16, 2026 

• Registration & Education 8AM – 3PM at Steffes Auctioneers Office, West Fargo •

 Contest at 3:45 PM, Red River Farm Network Building, Big Iron Ag Show

• Free for the first 25 students to register; $75 for additional students

• All meals, contest items, and awards provided by NDAA

• Hands-on training from NDAA member auctioneers and Justin Kennedy, Oklahoma Auction School

• Covers chant building, ringwork, stage presence, and the business of auctioneering

• Optional mentorship pairing with an auctioneer from across the state

STAGE 2: PRELIMINARY STATE CONTEST  - February 5–7, 2027 

• NDAA 75th Anniversary Convention • Holiday Inn, Fargo, ND

• Open to all students — Fall Camp attendance encouraged but not required

• Each competitor receives a one-day convention pass and meals for themselves and one adult

• Top 5–10 students advance to the State Championship

STAGE 3: ND STATE FFA BID-CALLING CHAMPIONSHIP - June 2027 

• North Dakota State FFA Convention • Date/time to be finalized

• Championship round and awards ceremony for advancing finalists

• The culmination of the NDAA/FFA auctioneering pathway
